Alcohol consumption is an umbrella term. It covers many topics touching anybody who lifts a drink anytime and anywhere. A daily health struggle it is. My interest in the subject of alcohol use links to my work life. When I was employed as a staff nurse, my duties included caring for patients with alcohol-related issues. In a community setting, tales of a binge drinker in the crowd aren't uncommon. Patterns of so-called social drinking have become acceptable in contemporary societies.

Statistics reveal millions of people around the world who aren't so fortunate. Indeed, disabled persons, their family members and friends face lifestyle issues unknown to people who may have serious ailments and problems.
